About us.
We are a husband, wife our kids’ team who operate a market farm, nursery, and orchard in Northern California.
In 2021, we ditched the hustle, bustle, and stress of city life, purchased a rural property, and started a medium scale market farm and nursery. We are growing a variety of culinary herbs and produce that is common in Thailand and Southeast Asia. We also grow a selection of typical western vegetables and fruits. We not only produce fresh herbs, vegetables and fruit for our local farmers’ markets and restaurants, we also grow potted vegetables, herbs (culinary and medicinal) and ornamental plants for home gardens.
Freeze Dried Foods: What started out as a fun way for us to preserve our farms produce for our personal home use and supply, ended up being something that our friends and relatives became intrigued with. With all the recent disruptions to everyday life and unrelenting geo-political uncertainties. More people are becoming keen on the idea of getting prepared for these times. One of the key elements to being a prepared family is to have a reasonable amount of non-perishable food on hand. Freeze dried foods fit that bill perfectly. As freeze-dried foods, when properly packaged and stored, can last over 20 years and be as fresh as it was the day it was freeze dried and packaged.
We now freeze dry a substantial portion of our produce including herbs, vegetables, and fruit which we had been offering at our local farmers markets, street fairs and local restaurants. Additionally, due to increased interest, we wanted to expand beyond dried fruit, veggies, and herbs. Recently we struck a deal to on a commercial food kitchen applied for state and local permits and are a few simple steps away from a full spectrum of freeze-dried foods production.
Once we get going with production at our Freeze Dried Specialty location, we will have the capability to provide bulk quantities from our neighboring county farmers market farm and other small local farms.
